Mission 

The Native Seed Network promotes the use of native plants in ways that support the ecological integrity of both natural and manipulated ecosystems.

The Native Seed Network advocates using native plant materials from appropriate genetic sources to conserve biological diversity, and to maintain the adaptive capability of ecosystems, communities and plant populations.

The Native Seed Network works with public agencies, educators and private groups to increase the availability of affordable native plant materials.

The Native Seed Network is a program of the Institute for Applied Ecology, a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. The offices of NSN and IAE are in Corvallis, Oregon.

The mission of the Institute for Applied Ecology is to conserve native ecosystems through restoration, research, and education.

 


The Native Seed Network is committed to preserving and protecting our country's natural heritage and is a Plant Conservation Alliance Cooperator.  We support the Plant Conservation Alliance National Framework for Progress and are working to achieve the following strategies:
