DescriptionLong-lived, perennial, leguminous forb, reaching height of 45 ? 60 cm (17 to 24?). Multiple, slender, stems are erect to spreading, emerge from woody crown, and possess a long branching taproot. ?Antelope Germplasm? is adapted to disturbed areas and sites within the central plains of North America (north to Saskatchewan, Alberta, & Manitoba, south to SD, NB, CO, & UT). Suited to well-drained, sandy or silty soils of pH in areas where annual precipitation is 250 ? 450 mm.

Breeding MethodSingle collection, from seeds of 2 to 6 plants. Compared with three other collections of D. candida and seven collections of D. purpera (purple prairieclover). Direct increase of seed.
Intended UseForage for livestock and wildlife, native reclamation & range renovation, biodiversity addition.
