SourceSelected from a broad collection of deertongue made in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Hampshire.
Breeding MethodTwenty accessions, from a broad collection of deertongue, were selected for seedling vigor. A composite was formed by blending equal amounts of pure live seed from each accession.
Intended UseFor erosion control and revegetation on soils with low pH.
Release InfoTioga deertongue was released cooperatively in 1975 by the SCS, Pennsylvania AES, and New York AES.
