DescriptionA cool-season perennial, herbaceous legume, upright (1-2 ft), multiple stems, leaves alternate, odd-pinnate, 11-31 elliptic leaflets, with abundant pink flowers that bloom late June, producting long lomented seedpods, persistent, relatively long-lived. Foliage is palatable to big game and livestock but Timp is highly susceptible to browsing/grazing damage during establishment. Selected for high seedling vigor, site adaptibility, persistence, seed production, enhanced nitrogen fixing capability, and establishability. Best adapted to well-drained, rocky, gravelly, sand clay loam soils.
