Breeding MethodThree cycles of recurrent selection for low seed dormancy were practiced within progenies of selected parents of this highly self-pollinated species.
Intended UseLodorm has rapid recovery growth and high palatability and has been used in monoculture and in mixtures with other grasses and alfalfa to provide complementary pasture for native rangelands in the northern Great Plains.
