DescriptionIt is an erect, perennial, cool-season plant with a fibrous root system and decumbent to reclining stems. The leaves are large and slightly pubescent, flowers are borne in racemes on 24 to 36 in tall, upright stems, flowers are bright red, tubular, bloomng from early to late summer. Selected for its beauty, hardiness, seed production, and natural range of adaptibility.

Breeding MethodThis selection was made from an assembly of 15 accessions for its superior stand establishment and survival.
Intended UseErosion control and beautification, fibrous roots good for soil stabilization.
