DescriptionFlowers two to four weeks later than Cheyenne or Tejas. Produces twice the amount of forage of Cheyenne and extends range into south Texas. Grows well on most soil textures where precipitation is above 560 mm or on sites with extra runoff. Late seed producer, greens up early. Responds well to fertilizer and/or fertility. Excellent forage quality and cures well.

Breeding MethodSelected from 28 similar accessions for better forage production in central and south Texas.
